I have no doubt these are nice little power tools.

In case you wonder brushed or brushless, this is found from Lowes Q&A "... The CLPK22-120 Tool Combo comes with PS41 Impact Driver and PS31 Drill Driver. Both tools have brushed motors...."

I've had this set for more than a year now. Also got it for $99. Makes sense as you will be using these %99 percent of the time. These are the lightest 12v you can get. I think that's the important factor. I know there are more powerful 12v tools out there but that's not the point of 12v tools is it. Obviously, spring for the brushless version of these if you can as they will probably last longer, weigh even less.

Like everyone else has said, these are great combination of size, weight, power, feel and runtime. I use them 95% of the time over my larger (and more powerful) Dewalt and Ridgid tools.

Also, the Bosch FL12 light is my favorite cordless light I've ever owned - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OKGAERO. Works on the same batteries.
This light? Your link does not work.

I bought them a few years back on black Friday. I bought a fixer upper and use these all the time. If you like tools that do what they say thev will do then I highly recommend these at this price. It really is a slick deal

I bought this set a couple of years ago. It is my go-to power tool for 90% of my jobs. Plenty of power to drive most screws, nuts, bolts. Not a lot of impact power, but it will get the job done.

can't say enough about the good of having a light set, I cut down on dragging out the 18v dewalt and hitachi by 95%

I got this from Amazon in May'20 for ~$80 after a $20 credit for spending $100 on Bosch tools. It's a great set with sufficient power for 75% of what I do. If you don't need it right now, you could wait as those coupons for Bosch come out fairly frequently. No saying this tool set would be included next time though.

My only gripe has been the charger buzzing. It's annoying enough that I unplug it when in my garage. I've only had to charge the batteries a handful of times since new so it's not a deal breaker.

Amazon price matched at $99.

Looks like Lowe's also has a DeWalt 12v brushed set for $100 https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-2...ed/3309256

How do they compare? Do brushless sets ever get within spitting distance of this price?

Brushed or brushless...honestly, does it really matter?

Theoretically, there are some minor advantages to brushless, but the dozens of people in this thread raving about these solid little workhorses don't seem to be bothered at all by the brushes. Unless you're in a unique situation where you need to eek out every little bit of efficiency from your tools, you shouldn't need to worry about the brushes either.

I know people like these, and I'm sure they're great to use, but the tool ecosystem is pretty limited compared to M12. I know because I went with Makita CXT combo at $99 a couple years ago, also not as many tool options as Milwaukee offers. The slide-batteries on the CXT (and Dewalt) make the handle more comfortable than the pod-style.
If I was getting a pod-style 12v combo, I'd go with M12.

I have this set and love it. The size can handle almost everything around the house. It's lightweight so holding it up doesn't tire you out when doing things above head. I have my Dewalt for heavier projects.

I'm thinking about getting this to help when I wax and detail my car. Will the battery last enough to do 1-3 coats?
