For what it's worth these batteries will interchange with the 12v cordless Dremel so that's an added bonus if you're a big Dremel user

I bought this set a couple of years ago. It is my go-to power tool for 90% of my jobs. Plenty of power to drive most screws, nuts, bolts. Not a lot of impact power, but it will get the job done.

I have a full set of Makita power tools that I love, but I use these more than any of my other tools (I did upgrade the drill to a brushless Flexiclick).

- compact, lightweight, excellent ergonomics
- enough power for most tasks inside a home
- great trigger switch, I was very impressed at the quality compare to much more expensive drills I've used. Allows excellent control
- probably the best value in power tools

I've bought this several time to give as gifts and they have always been very well received.

I have this set. My drill driver's chuck is stuck. I can't seem to open it so I can load my bits. Anyone know how to fix this?

I would try wrapping it in a towel and turning it with some channel locks.

I have the Milwaukee 12V and 18V Drill and Impacts for both systems.
I consistently grab these Bosch tools 95% of the time. I just love the way they feel and function.
It would make sense to sell them and just use the Milwaukee, but I just cant part with them for some reason. You can not believe how much power these little tools haveSmilie
I have both these Bosch and just got 12V Milwaukee drill at a steal here on SD at HD last month. The Bosch is my preferred drill/driver most of the time. Plenty of power and battery life to get most job done. Returning the Milwaukee soon. I actually bought 2 Bosch sets. One for home which is 7 years old now and another for the office last year at $75 on SD. OEM batteries can be found on ebay. Hope this is helpful to someone on the fence.

I bought this when it was the same price on Amazon. I built 120 lineal feet of stud wall and a 130 inch wrap around bar with a 110 inch back bar. This has been my go to. I never understood the need for an impact driver, and at 40 years old, wish I would have bought one 20 years ago (this and a pocket hole jig). BUY IT NOW!!

is brushless version of this more expensive?
Yes, it's literally double the price $199. Can anyone comment how important this is? I'm a tool newbie and don't really know what brushless does for you other than it's supposedly "better"

I've basically defaulted to using this impact driver for 98% of my home repair needs... My only issue is not having a belt clip when I have to climb high. Does anyone know one I can buy ?

FYI - this is impact driver and not wrench, so it will not be powerful enough for lug nuts. In case folks are wondering.

Not worth 2x here. For the drill, I have the brushed PS21 and the brushless PS22 and usually use the brushed because I prefer its operating characteristics, especially very-low-speed and acceleration. The brushed impact is noticeably slower than a brushless but it's still much faster than a drill and slower can be easier to control.

Brushless has longer runtimes (can be 2x), generally more powerful, and the newest ones are smaller. But these last plenty long for their intended use model and you're not buying these to run a 3" self-feed or build a deck.

I own the PS21 and PS22 pocket driver, the PS31 drill, the PS41 impact, the PS60 recip, the multi-tool, and the GLI12V-300N stick light. I prefer the pocket drivers for their bit-change simplicity but that kit is more expensive and uses more expensive hex drill-bits. The stick light and multi-tools are fantastic. I use the recip for pruning and space-constrained cuts but it's not nearly as powerful as a full-size.

I prefer Bosch's handles to Miluwakee's 12V. The batteries are 45 degrees offset and Bosch's feels more comfortable in my hands.

Bosch's batteries seem to have extremely low self-discharge.

If I'm on a ladder I'm wearing a tool belt. The Bosch 12V tools fit readily in my dominant-hand side with the screws and other ancillary tools in the other. My wife mocks me as soft-hands-tool-belt-man but the extra space is great, I always have a tape or pencil or box cutter, and I'm less likely to leave tools on random horizontal surfaces. And I'm less likely to set the tool on the rungs and test their drop survivability.

I've definitely dropped it a few times. But usually I don't cary that many things on me while handling the tool, I'll setup what I need at the work area within reach first. But. A good alternative. But fuk it I bought some clips I'm just going to drill a hole on it and attach one.

I've used this "old" version (PS31) on the job since it first came out in 2014 and you can not go wrong. Easily my favorite most useful power tool doing technology/electrical work. The chuck is failing, I can work it loose to swap bits but it's a pain so just left a bit holder in.

I just bought the new version (PS32) from Amazon for $99 and literally put it in my tool bag this morning. The slightly improved torque, brushless motor and allegedly stronger "feel" are not worth paying double if you're a typical homeowner.

I like this set a lot. The impact gun is not so powerful that U will strip stuff but I've got more powerful guns for heavier work. My only minor beef is that the case is tiny and can't hold extra stuff. MAYBE try to get a GI/Vets discount; may not be eligible 'cuz its a sale item.

I think that you can get either the DeWalt drill or the DeWalt impact driver for $99, not both.
