I was looking at these, they look pretty nice. I would be interested in anyone's specific experience with this unit.

Thinking of getting this to replace my dual-fuel. Would be nice to hook-up to the existing NG line and connect to the panel.

Has this ever gone for cheaper than this? Or available at the warehouse for less?

It goes on sale in the warehouse once or twice a year for $599. It replaced the dual fuel model they used to have by Firman.

I have never used a generator but long felt I should have one for emergencies. But I've heard some are bad for electronics for some reason. Something about the changing frequencies or something. Does anyone know what that's about or if this is a good one to use for electronics?

Usually at this price and for that wattage, it likely isn't good for sensitive electronics. What you're looking for is an Inverter Generator.

Bought this last summer when it went on sale for $599 in store. I've put about 20hrs on it, propane only. Fires right up, have had zero issues.
Runs my well and water heater on the 50a/240v, which was the main reason i bought it.
I've been happy, especially for the price.
The only issue was some occasional flickering with some LED bulbs.

I don't have experience with this specific one but bought the dual fuel model during our last hurricane. Got slightly above rated time running it on gas and slightly less rated time with propane. Electric start is nice and works as expected.

I paid full price and other than wishing I didn't have to, am happy with the purchase.

Inverter generators are better for sensitive electronics. You'll want a THD of around 3-5%. Be aware that even fridges, freezers, washers, etc. have computer boards that may work with a standard generator, but their life could be shortened.

I picked this up last week at my local costco for $699. However, I am thinking about returning it. A Firman rep told me the THD was between 11 and 14%, which isn't terrible for a traditional generator. But, a few people have reported issues with flickering lights and electronic motor speed swings, which is indicative of dirty power (no matter the listed THD spec). We have a high efficiency furnace, as well as a new inverter style heat pump - so I'll probably go with an inverter or higher quality standard genset. I bit on this before doing my research because the sale price looked amazing for the specs. BTW, most carburetor generators have third-party LPG/NG conversion kits available.

My fridge doesn't even like my inverter generator for some reason. It's 3500 watts so should have plenty of power (runs my RV air conditioner no problem). But it makes a loud "pop" then the front display flashes whenever I run it off the generator. After 3 or 4 tries it usually will run fine. I'm afraid it might wreck it eventually though.

The notion the average residential home needs an inverter is a joke. Unless you have family member on an iron lung inside, save the money and do what people have been doing for over 30 years now. The issues people like to blame on non-inverters is actually brought on by people not being respectful of the load they are putting on their generator.

Industries come up with new ways to make you spend more money all the time...inverters are one of them for 95% of uses.

If it's not a pure sine wave output, that could be your problem too.

So if your power goes out, your not supposed to use this indoors or during a storm ..which is EXACTLY when the power goes out. So...what's the point ? Wait till the storm is over and THEN power it up ?
Where did you see that you shouldn't use it during a storm?

Your statement is partly true. If you don't bog down the engine and it keeps 3600 RPM / 60 Hz, you're good. Plus it's a true sine wave and that is what electronics need. However, how many people have tachs or Hz meters on their units? Most electronics will work on less than 60 Hz, but not all, and it will shorten the lifespan just like in brownouts. Power tools and motors will work just fine though.
