Another great deal — but since you need to add RAM to this anyway I was just wondering if it makes sense to shell out an extra $291 for an open box "excellent" version with the AMD Ryzen 9, 16MB RAM , NVidia 2060 plus 1TB hard drive. I can't tell if the RAM is 8x8 or 16 with an open slot on the more expensive model. The listing says it is expandable to 24 GB so I am guessing it is 16 with open slot. The weight seems to be the same on both models at 3.64 lbs . Average screen Nits are 323 which seems to be decent . No thunderbolt but I suppose that is not a big deal. I was concerned about mixing Nvidia with AMD but reviews say the companies have worked out the conflicts and it is not an issue. How bad can an open box excellent be?

Is this a better deal, specs wise, not screen size? Looking for something future proof for my 5 year old

How much ram can we add? I don't see ram expandable up to in specs like for this model - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus...Id=6403816 [bestbuy.com]
According to Best Buy the same model with the AMD Ryzen 9 is expandable to 24GB . The Asus web site says 32Gb but that may be for a newer model . Some people here are saying 40 GB it that seems unlikely

It should have 8gb soldered and an empty slot that can be up to 32gb. So 40gb. I bought the 16gb ram with a 2060 and upgraded to 40gb

Just got a razer blade 15 2060. Interested to return it and get back $400 + have usb-c charging.. but concerned the build quality won't be as nice and the occasional cod warzone will be a worse experience. Anyone compare the two?

I've got one and run COD Coldwar locked at 60fps with pretty much all settings on high and a select few on low/Med. USB C charging is a nice bonus just remember it throttles the GPU on USB C charging.

This is my favorite gaming laptop design at the moment. However, I wish it had a 1660 or 2060 for this price. I also have a birthday coupon but it's not showing for some reason. Can they apply it via chat or is it only for items that are not on sale?
Birthday coupons don't work on sale items.

I just picked this up for work. Be sure to check out the buying options. Bought a open satisfactory and will be getting a refund that'll bring the final price to below $600.

Awesome deal but I did wish it had at least a 1660Ti. Has anyone tried playing COD on a 1650? (Their recommended specs is a 1660)

I have this exact same laptop to compliment my gaming desktop. It runs single player Modern Warfare @ 1080p with mostly high settings smooth as butter. I have not tried multiplayer yet.
