Best Buy has the
70" VIZIO M-Series TV M706x-H3 [bestbuy.com] on sale for $649.99 + Free Shipping for most, or select store pickup. This matches the
previous FP deal.
RTings
here [rtings.com] state that
There's a Black Friday variant that's only available at a 70" size, which has slightly reduced features, such as three HDMI ports instead of four. It likely has a different local dimming zone count, though we haven't been able to confirm it.
Specifications
here [vizio.com] indicate that it has the V-Gaming Engine and says nothing about
Local Dimming Zones, so this is likely a lower end set than the 65" M7 (but the price may still be right).
User Manual
here [vizio.com].
Pros:
Cons:
- May not have local dimming.
- V-Gaming Engine instead of P.
- Has HDMI 2.1 inputs, but 60 Hz native, and no VRR.

Overall, I like the size and function of the TCL better in just about every way except WiFi connectivity. The TCL has annoyingly weak WiFi for some reason, but the Roku interface is a far more pleasant experience than the Vizio.
The Vizio occasionally locks up to the point I have to unplug the power to reset it (i.e. the regular power button doesn't reset it fully). Also, while the SmartCast software is much improved over older Vizio sets, it is still very glitchy. It's common for the TV to randomly return to the SmartCast home screen in the middle of watching a show on Netflix, YouTube, etc. Probably happens 1-2 times per week.
Do I recommend the Vizio? Certainly...it's a nice set with some advanced features for gaming/movie watching and a great display. That said, I'll probably replace it with a 5-series or 6-series TCL or possibly a Hisense once a deal pops up on one of those.
