Pro tip for new parents: When you clip, clip nail-side down to better not clip your kiddo's finger-tips. Better yet, use a yellow buffing block for newborns and when that doesn't cut it anymore, use emery boards. That way no-chance of clip.

No idea what you are talking about.
For me, a head lamp... the one go around your head. You will need it because the best time to clip the infant nail is when it's not moving...deep sleep. Deep sleep is when the infant couldn't stay awake anymore and just crash. That's the perfect time to get the clipper and light. Depend on your kiddo, you might not need to do it at night.

Agree. I use an Emory board and it works great.
We also got one of those motorized nail grinders from Amazon that works well. Ive. found Emory board to be easier. My wife likes the motorized trimmer.
Something like this but there are tons of brands:
Baby Nail Clippers 20 in 1 by Royal Angels Baby | Safe Electric Baby Nail Trimmer, Baby Nail File Kit, Additional Replacement Heads, Newborn Toddler Toes and Fingernails, Trim and Polish (Blue) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077QBJ...BVJ12664NN

And always.......... goodluck.
Instead of a head lamp I recommend baby nail clippers with a built-in light. They're incredibly practical for trimming baby nails!
d never trust safety1st again. I used their nail clipper, not this particular one but one that came in whole grooming set. After a few use, the connector broke and shot out right by my eye. I have to say i was extremely lucky because it only scratch the side of my face, near my eyebrow, otherwise i would only have one eye left by now.
I contacted the company about quality and safety issue. Never heard a single word from them.
