Fun game! Not trying to be picky, but I wouldn't call it a board game. It's a card game with a specialty deck of cards.

Picked this up in the last B2G1F sale, so if you don't need it right now, it will be slightly cheaper if you pick up 3 games for around the same price (<$8) whenever Target inevitably does it again. Probably not till late spring or early summer though, but something to consider. Great little game.

I was going to buy this as a family game, but then I saw that it's only for two players. So just a heads up if that's a concern.

looking for a board game, my wife and I can enjoy after dinner on a weekday

we like Sequence, setters of catan, exploding kittens etc but that required inviting our friends

any recommendations?

My wife and I have enjoyed Santorini, it's like 3d checkers and easy to pick up.

A few of my favorites
- 7 wonders duel ( 30 min play time and is my fav 2 player game)
- azul
- code names duet ( i found the duet version really har dto crack)
- everdell ( a bit on the expensive side but is a wonderful 2 player game, playtime is 90-120 mins though)
- the forbidden series for cooperative game play ( pandemic, forbidden desert, forbidden sky, forbidden island etc)
