That's a good deal! I just picked up the Cap vs Cap version a few weeks ago, but the accessories on this one, especially, have me thinking about double-dipping!

Agreed. These aren't always the greatest figures in the world, but this one sticks out due to the number of accessories, ability to recreate one of the more iconic scenes from the movie, and since Captain America is unlikely to show up again in the MCU with a new look for a while, this could be the ultimate version to own at least for a while (unlike previous versions that seemed to get replaced every year by another one).

I received mine already (free same day shipping in my area). If anybody was wondering, it was packaged like any other Amazon item (generic shipping box, couple of packing bubbles). I think you'd get a better packing job from other retailers, but given the same day shipping, it obviously didn't have to go very far reducing the odds of damage. That said, the figure packaging and contents were in near mint condition and even still had the protective tissue wrapping on it (although slightly torn).

All said, I'm pretty happy with it. Aside from the overall deal value, I find myself surprised that Amazon stocks figures like this in a local warehouse (central VA). While there are plenty of collectible toy retailers online to source this from, I can't think of any place locally that would carry something like this.

Seriously, a $250 12" figure cannot be compared to a 7" $99 fig! But if you mean these are too expensive for $99, you are correct; they are NECA territory, worth $40-50 the most.

Unfortunately ever since this hobby got mainstream, the prices skyrocketed. I remember getting one of the 18" Mezco Hellboys for $28 shipped or getting 1/4 Sideshow statues for $300. Today nothing starts below $600 and I don't think the sculptors/painters are better paid.

the reviews state these arent the best quality. can anyone recommend a better brand? my kids would love this to display but some of the other characters are over $100 for a 6 inch figure.

One of the top Amazon by 69e_manthe reviews hits some of these points. It also points out the decline in quality.

If you are a collector, this deal is good for the added extra accessories
