Only a 1 year warranty vs a 5 year warranty when you buy new for $549. It could be a year before I even get to use this if I buy it now.
I've been looking to get one all winter due to Chicago weather, but feel like as soon as I buy this, the snow will melt and we will not see snow until December 2021...
At this point, I think I'll wait until next season and grab the 2 stage model

Looks like it's going to be the case. Just watch out for this model and not to use it on lip of driveway where the plow pushes heavier snow/ice at. Mine broke after jamming due to a big solid piece of ice at the tip of my driveway. Good thing their warranty is pretty good and replaced it after some quick troubleshooting.

wasnt one of the downsides of this recon deal that you get the old style battery? i need to get a snowblower and im torn. would love to get a battery one but the thought of having to buy a $200-$300 replacement battery in 3 years makes me cringe (might need one day one if it cant get my driveway done in a single charge). but at the same time i really dont want to deal with a gas one.

Price drops on new will be better than this in a few weeks as winter closes and these things take up space.

This or fix up a 40 year year old toro 2 stage. Just died this winter. Needs new carb, fuel line and pull cord fly wheel. Hmmm?

with winter winding down, we'll start seeing more snowblower deals, I'm debating if i should unload my 2 stage gas for one of these, the quietness and light weight makes it appealing. But the power of a 2 stage gas is definitely a plus

Silly question: was the problem not the cotter pin on one of the reels? I only ask because if not, that's worrisome, warranty or no.

As much as this still costs I think I would rather wait until I can get the new model that has the steel auger.
