I bought the original games and all DLC up to this point for full price and I think at $35 it's a great deal. Of course, before COVID it was easier to get your money's worth as I would play for several hours with friends couch co-op at a time. But if you have anyone who might be willing to work through the game with you, it's a really fun (and relationship testing) pair of games.

To each their own. This is low enough for me to bite.

But what I recommend you do is sign up for a trial of PlayStation Now and try overcooked 2. If you or anyone needs someone to play with, my PSN is 'ecin'

Is Xbox series x mean it's backward compatible to Xbox one?

I don't think so. But Xbox one version is dropping soon. It will be released on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam on March 23rd. I believe those will be $40 retail.
