Pretty shitty this year, no microsd card, only 1080p screen, no mst for samsung pay, nothing in the box like the akg earphones or the 25w fast charger. Doesn't matter what the big tech review sites say camera is definitely not a major upgrade over S20 Samsung must be paying a lot for the rave reviews to push the phone. Battery life is still pretty bad.

I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.

These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that

At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!

For those that don't know, Samsung removed the MicroSD card slot. Greed is literally the only reason for this move. Force people to buy the larger storage versions.

You realized there's detailed comparison videos on YouTube that thoroughly disprove this?

Aside that, the Ultra has zoom capabilities beyond the Pixel, significantly better video and Macro.

Again, samsung made some puzzling choices, especially with the S21 and S21+. But the Ultra is still legit the best Android phone on the market today.

Considering the price, might not be the 'best value' though.

How much storage do you really require ? I have both the plus and ultra and it's very hard to tell the difference in resolution. It's all in your head if you think there's a difference. Akg earphones were garbage. A charger would be nice but most people already have several blocks. Iphone Is not a better choice the battery life is horrible, charging is slow, screen is a huge downgrade. I'm sorry but you're so lost or haven't used the iPhone 12

The s21 does have a few things over the s20 (with all the major downsides though it might not be worth it)

+ cpu upgraded to sd 888
+ laser auto focus on camera
+ plastic back wont shatter if dropped like glass
+ screen is flat
+ price reduced $200 on each model
+ larger batteries
+ will recieve android 14 as last update
+ camera bump looks alot nicer
+ fingerprint sensor is larger/improved

- ram reduced to 8GB from 12GB
- no microsd slot
- mst removed
- screen res reduced from 1440p to 1080p
- rear facing camera mic removed
- plastic back on an $800+ phone
- no 25w fast charger in box
- no usbc headphones in box


The microsd slot was the killer for me, not going to pay insane amount of $ for a 512GB s21 ultra, I just bought a s20+ 128GB and moved my 200GB msd card from my old phone to it.
