Pretty shitty this year, no microsd card, only 1080p screen, no mst for samsung pay, nothing in the box like the akg earphones or the 25w fast charger. Doesn't matter what the big tech review sites say camera is definitely not a major upgrade over S20 Samsung must be paying a lot for the rave reviews to push the phone. Battery life is still pretty bad.

I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.

These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that

At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!

Just tried to price match with Samsung via live chat and was also told to contact them once my order has been delivered. I took a screenshot and wrote down the reference # just in case.

For those that don't know, Samsung removed the MicroSD card slot. Greed is literally the only reason for this move. Force people to buy the larger storage versions.

So I was told you have to wait for the order to arrive before you can price match. Seems risky since the expected delivery date is March 23rd. I ended up paying a little less than the current Best Buy price and added in a bunch of extras so even if the price match fails, I would still consider it a fair deal. They did say on the chat they would price match and gave me a reference ID so time will tell.

Both of my chats were taking forever during Friday normal business hours. I think it may have to do with different shifts or different locations for their outsourced CS teams. Nevertheless it was a nightmare dealing with those reps. in the end I had to settle for price match to Best Buy at $1049.99 as that was the only one showing in stock.

Has anybody confirmed the amount of his "price match"? I just ask because I had a refund from Samsung for like $8.55. I'm hoping that's not it.

I bought the 128GB Ultra with the various bundled items -- I got a Watch 3, Buds Pro, and Buds Live pretty much free with discounts. I planned to sell these to recoup part of the cost. I also qualified for First Responder Pricing (spouse is a nurse), so I wasn't expecting the full $200. But I was thinking it would be closer to $150, rather than $8.55. I will probably chat tomorrow to confirm.

Did you contact them once phone shipped with reference number, etc. and discuss the amount? Also, did they send you a Samsung email of what was being processed back to your credit card for the price match?

So that was the other thing. The refund posted to my account YESTERDAY. My phone also shipped yesterday. I contacted them THIS MORNING with the Refund Reference Number, and they said, "Congratulations, you are eligible for a refund. We will escalate this and apply it back to your credit card." I should have confirmed the amount, but did not because I was in a hurry.

(Sorry for the all caps. Just emphasizing the important words.)

But I am hoping that because of the timing, the $8.55 credit was something else. But I'm not sure why else Samsung would be giving me money back though.

Most definitely the $8.55 is something else. I received a much smaller amount as a pending adjustment after their initial phone charge as they had included too much sales tax at first which they corrected.

I think you are right, actually. I just looked at my online invoice (in my account) versus the amount charged to my credit card. The charge to my card was $8.55 more than the amount of my invoice. So they were reconciling the two. Why they were off in the first place is beyond me.

But that's awesome. Now I don't feel so bad about whimsically buying the thing. When factoring in the trade-in arbitrage, the various discounts, the free bundled items, and then the price match, the price was getting so low that it seemed like a no-brainer.

You convinced me to make another "shopping trip." This time I got a 128 GB Unlocked Ultra, 2 pairs of the Buds Pro, 2 pairs of the Buds Plus, a pair of the Buds Live, and a silicone S Pen case for $742. I'll have to buy an S10e to trade in, so add $280 on top of that.

But I'm getting 6% ($44) cash back. And if I can get $150 price match, net $125 for the Buds Pro, and about $70 for each pair of Pluses and Lives, I'll end up with the phone and case for like $370.

This is probably the best phone deal I've snagged in a while.

AND NO HEADPHONE JACK! This was a dealbreaker for me as I use an external lav mic that plugs into the headphone jack on my s9+ to record sound with videos.
