I have been waiting for a Wyze cam V3 but not able to get one.
So I started looking for options and this Eufy 2K security camera looks to be ticking most boxes.
I have been watching this camera and today the price came down and with available $4 coupon it makes the deal sweeter.
Make sure to click on the available coupon for $4 to see the final price of $29.99 plus tax.

This beats the front page deal from last month by $4. Not sure how to put that link in here as I am posting this on mobile.

Got 2 of these on BF(for $27.99 each) to test against Wyze v2s. I have to say that this cam is a much better option. Few points which work for me:
1. No fees for person detection, Wyze & Ring are paid.
2. Person detection is much better than Ring doorbell 2020 version and Wyze cams all facing in same direction.
3. 2K resolution.
4. Wider viewing angle(not much but still).
5. Night vision is much better and clearer than Wyze.
Eufy stops recording when there's no internet? Hmmm...I have 3 eufy indoor cameras, 1 Eufy doorbell, and 4 outdoor Eufycams. They all continue to record even w/o internet. Please explain to us what these "really big bugs/issues" are so we can help you.
lol, what i really like about Wyze, is how the cameras become useless the moment that you stop paying the subscription fee to Wyze. John Gotti would have loved to have such a racket.

Wyze V3 cams are now available, but they include 1 yr of CamPlus in your purchase for $34.99 (plus tax & shipping). They do give you a $4 off on just adding the Cam v3 (no CamPlus) in the cart. Instead of $23.99, it's just $19.99. But you have to have or be a CamPlus user.

I am pretty much abandon Wyze because they remove free person detection and only 1080p, This one is 2k.

Wyze notifications are also slower and lag a minute or two, whereas my eufy ones are almost instantaneous

My only worry is someone grabbing the camera on their way out. Since there is no *free cloud, the whole recording will be gone with the camera.

If you live in a risky area you're only solution is Eufy home base , or nest/ring cloud subscription

I have Wyze v2 and v3 cameras and they do a great job. Problem with Eufy 2k indoor cam is can't find any mounts for them for outdoor use. That is where we really could use them vs using them indoors.

I've got Wyze V2 mounted outside, as well as v3 (which is IP65 rated for water resistance) and both mount easily outside with Amazon mounts. V3 is truly amazing in low light. My V2 is just fine with IR though.

Also with Wyze I feel more comfortable that my recordings are both on the SD card, and in the cloud (I pay for CamPlus to safely store that data on cloud), and it works great.

Shame Eufy's design is not as sleek / compact as Wyze, and can't eaily mount it outside, where it matters far more than inside.

As a result I'm sticking with Wyze until Eufy comes out with a more compact design like Wyze and can accept external mounts.

EDIT - a review on Amazon says Eufy doesn't record in case of loss of internet, and reddit seems to confirm this. Kind of a goofy design to require internet to be able to record to SD card.

If you need more than one, better off to get the 2 packs - it's 59.49 for 2 (aka 29.75 each). That's a whopping 50 cents saving lol

How are they useless? They still provide 14 days free cloud recording, 24/7 record to SD card. Far from useless IMO.

Eufy recordings are useless without internet connection and app. Eufy stops recording without internet, some really big bugs / issues. They need to make it fully independent like Wyze when it's there's no internet connection.
