wait so they HAVE done a 4k restoration of black cauldron? and yet still not even a regular blu-ray release :\ might pick this up though, just to finally upgrade from the dvd!

I remember seeing this movie in the theaters and going to Disneyworld when they had the behind the scenes making of the movie at Universal Studios.

Anything Disney definitely does. I spot checked 4 of them (dead poets, Oliver, babysitting, & Vietnam) & all are available in MA so should port.

It seems a lot of these movies go on sale because they are now available on Disney+ or Netflix. Has anyone else noticed this?

Also, who can confirm what happens to your Vudu/itune account when you pass? It seems like the accounts cannot be transferred.

Disney saw greater success with disney+ than it expected, while at the same time seeing less success than they expected with 4k Disney movies.
They already put a halt to 4k restorations of live action films, and they are being more selective about which old animated films to restore.
Yes, they have restored and done 4k versions of multiple Disney movies that have not been released on disc, and may never be.
At $5 it's a no-brainer. Vudu has it listed at hdr10 and Dolby vision, so for anyone who has the hardware for it, it should be a real treat.
