Can't speak for these speakers specifically, but I have the Atrium 5's, and aside from a lean lower end, I can't recommend them enough. I've had them up for 3 years now, and have never brought them down/in for winter. Temps in my area in the past few weeks have been hovering around 3 degrees. Yesterday temps were up into the 50's and I was doing some things outside and piped in some music through them. Absolutely didn't miss a beat and sounded great. High humidity in the summers, and fairly cold winters and I've had zero issues. If reliability and longevity is of any concern, don't let it be with these. I can only presume build quality is better with these.
Nice find, OP.

Was torn between these and the pair of Atrium 6 speakers. Ultimately went with pair of black Atrium 6, which is currently $220 on Amazon. Also a good deal.
Unfortunately, (and due to two reasons) I did not install them yet. Reason 1: still dealing with snow (though that will change in 2 or so days), but more importantly (Reason 2), Amazon is playing this stupid game where, apparently, it makes more economical sense for me to ship these back to them (twice now!) and reorder them instead of just adjusting the price...
I currently have Polk Patio 200 (which I believe are identical to Atrium 5), and they're awesome. But I also have them paired to Onkyo HT-RC560, so when I crack it (and that's rarely since I don't want to be a prick to my neighbors), the speakers start to "crack." While these Patio 200s are quite sufficient for my needs, I do want more clarity in sound, which, in theory, Atrium 8 should provide.

Agreed! I do have Patio 200 (aka Atrium 5) for probably 5+ years now and the same thing: they're outside year-round in snow, rain and sun (so anywhere from below 0 to high 90s). In fact, the back of the house faces West, so they're in the sun entire day. I only took them down once (or maybe twice) just to clean them, and I used biodegradable grill cleaner and they look brand new. Zero issues. As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm only replacing them because I want some more "oomph."
While I haven't listened to the Atrium 8's, I do have two pairs of the Atrium 6's which are excellent. They are very well built. I would definitely buy again.

Are two enough for a patio of about 50' x 20'?

I have these. Started off just buying 1 then realized while good, it's not the same as 2 speakers (duh) so bought a second. With 2, the sound is really good. Just prepare for buying 2 I guess is what I'm saying...

With two did you wire left and right or did you double wire the speakers each?

Love my 5s! Our yard isn't huge, so they're a perfect size for under our pergola. They get plenty loud, way louder than I'd actually use them for our space. If you have them hooked up to a receiver with an eq, I'd boost the lows slightly for a more balanced sound profile.
These bumped up to $144 now. Amazon likes to do that - drop the price and then, when they see traffic, tick the price up a bit. They know ppl will still buy the item for a few bucks more while they make a little more profit. Machine Learning and AI at work here.
Like others have already mentioned, I have Atrium 6's and they're great, never a problem and plenty of compliments from guests. The glutton for upgrades in me really wants to buy a pair of these because I can only imagine these would be even more so amazing but I can't quite justify replacing my 6's (but still thinking about it anyway...)

Using with amphony amplifier, connected to chromecast audio. Wouldn't recommend the amp, have 2 samples, 1 good and one bad.
