No it's not hdmi 2.1
HDMI 2.0 supports 1080p 144hz. It may also support VRR at that resolution/refresh rate. Hdmi 2.1 is a spec for 4k 120hz, since this is a 1080p monitor HDMI 2.1 isn't necessary

Can I use this with a GeForce 1060ti on my laptop and turn on G-Sync? If not, will the 144 Hz refresh rate help at all? I checked Destiny 2 on Steam and I only get 30 fps. Seems like with such low fps a 60 Hz with g-sync may be better, right?

Will this be able to run the XSX or PS5 at 120hz (for games that allow it)?
Unfortunately, the answer is a maybe. Some people have gotten 1080p 120 hz to work on hdmi 2.0 but it's not always the case.

For ps5, a lot of people can't get 1080p 120 hz to work with HDMI 2.0.

Is the 4 year geek squad protection for $30 worth it on this?

That's because you're playing Cold War on the PS5 LMAO

Seriously though, You turned off ray tracing and went to performance mode or whatever they call it?

Doesn't always work. There's like a gazillion threads on reddit and Sony forum on getting CoD working on hdmi 2.0 1080p 120 hz.

I know both consoles have trouble with 1440p as well. Perhaps it will be fixed in future updates but who knows

The monitor has HDMI 2.0 ports, which should allow the consoles to run games at 1080p 120fps.
I have the 27 inch version of this and it didn't allow me to do 120 over 1080

I think it's due in part to monitor software/hardware and that they are made for PC's typically. Possibly drivers aren't console friendly and causing issues or some other random variable. Electronics are very finicky so you can't always just plug and play components between different hardware.

After reading a few comments it says this monitor should work (120 fps for ps5), just turn off freesync.
