If it's Control Ultimate I'll bite, otherwise it's the kind of thing where if I'm honest with myself, I don't really want any of the other games, and I should just buy the one game I really want separately even if it's "a worse deal"

It's crazy that I completely understand this statement.
Humble Bundle store sells both the normal and the "Ultimate" versions of Control, so getting the Ultimate edition in this bundle is by no means a guarantee. It's the only one for sale on Steam but sometimes humble do Epic keys... we'll have to see what happens. Like a lot of people I'm only in if I get the free DLC!
"(Highly possible it is Control Ultimate Edition)"
Over the past few days Steam has added the Control DLC as separate items so given that (according to Humble) you will have a choice between Epic (currently offers base) and Steam keys, this would indicate the base game, unfortunately. I think this will piss off a lot of people but...

Sorry when I wrote this deal I only check the steam aversion of control since normally humble choice gives us steam keys. Thanks for the remind of base version of the game in Humble Bundle. Just checked Humble Bundle twitter and found that humble bundle confirmed that you can choose to get an epic key or steam key, so I think it is ultimate version.

But I still edit the post to remind others that it might be base version, not ultimate version.
CONTROL is one of the best games I've played since maybe the original Half-Life. It's this awesomely creative retro pastiche drawing heavily on Lynch and Kubrick, and the level of detail and interaction with the world is breathtaking. It's the only game where I've been determined to read every single morsel of story, watch every projection, listen to every reel-to-reel.
There is nothing as fun as walking into a pristine office and into battle, ripping fire extinguishers off the walls, hurling IBM-ATs, and other random bits of furniture and the bad guys, and absolutely trashing the place. And then you're battling formless energy in an expanse of nothing. This game rules.
Control is understandably getting a lot of attention, but don't overlook Hotshot Racing. It's a very recent a well reviewed game that I don't think has ever been under $12 on its own.

Yes! It;s a Virtua Racing throwback, looks a lot of fun.

XCOM is also a good deal if you don't have. I got it on release and I assume they ironed out all the bugs by now.
