I was actually considering pulling the trigger on this, seems like a great combination of specs for the price and my 1050 just isn't cutting it anymore.
I recommend the Walmart Gateway Creator Gaming Laptop 15.6 model slickdeal. It comes with a numeric pad that's very streamlined. $650 out the door for me!
This laptop's 1660 Ti is ~50% faster than the 1650 Ti in that one.
Thanks OP! My order also came with a free M99 mouse. Looks like the $79.99 price tag on the mouse is a bit overinflated though, but nonetheless still a good deal for the laptop and mouse combo.
Which is a better bang for your buck? This or https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell...Id=6419696
I realize they are different price ranges, and I can afford either, just not sure if its worth the extra 550 for the better specs/screen.
Opinions welcome.

Depends on if you really want that OLED display. Everything else doesn't add up to the $550 difference.

Did you mean this RTX2060 model of the Gateway? it is currently $799. (but not $650/699 like during the Holidays) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Gatewa.../425492039
----------------------------------------
That one should also be considered in this price range $600-$800.

@SharpRiver2124,
The Dell g7 for the extra $500 may be too much for the oled 4k screen and small gains in GPU rtx 2070mq. Also you have to install newer Bios and undervolt the cpu to 3500mhz, and overclock GPU a little to see good results without heat issues.
But It seems like a better looking laptop and build than the OPs MSI. (Depends on how badly you need 4k oled screen vs 144hz gaming screen);
OLED 4k screen laptops usually cost well beyond $1300 to $1800.eg. HP Omen, Dell G7, RazorBlade, etc
Other considerations: underpowered RTX 3060 laptop @$1100 >> https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus...Id=6448933
(but this was reviewed to be disappointing hardly any better than current RTX 2060 laptops...)

It's a solid deal if you are in a rush right now, and not really interested in serious PC gaming. But because the Gateway RTX 2060 came for $650-699 3 months ago, that deal doesn't seem very special.
eg. it would be special if it was $100 to $150 less than $600 for gtx 1650. Other specs are ok 10th gen i5, but ....256gb ssd and 8gb ram is a little small--those upgrades will cost you another $80.
OPs deal has a better cpu and 1660ti >>> 1650--so much better for games.

No numpad is the deal breaker for me.
I thought I wrote this comment for a second. This is exactly my situation with the 1050/numpad.
