Just giving my feedback. Useless so far. Had three false high flow alert wee early in the morning since I got it late last year. The water meter wasn't even moving. Support email just blamed instances of internet outage and closed the ticket. It hasn't returned our investment so far. Hoping it'll do better in the summer when garden irrigation starts.

I picked up the Gen 1 version of this a couple months back for $50. It's a great device. No issues. Great monitoring, battery life, etc. I've never had a leak or leak alert (so far).

Obviously, it shouldn't be sensing flow when none exists. You could try tweaking/adjusting the position of the sensor on the meter.

I like the device. I have the Gen 1 and it got water in it. They have since redesigned it to version 2 to help fix that issue and others. Mine was a bit over a year old. They offered a Gen 2 for $129. I complained and now they are sending me a Gen 1 for free. Can't wait for the next issue.

Mine has worked flawlessly so far. Useful to tell me how much water each irrigation zone uses in GPM (then I can tweak my watering schedule). Can time how long people are showering Smilie

Have a V1 that's been a POS. Have had to replace the battery twice now and it constantly looses connection with the base station.

Great deal. Installed this Gen 2 last month and immediately found an underground water leak. Saved me hundreds of $$$, and the peace of mind it gives me being able to monitor remotely is worth every penny.

No issues so far except that it takes 1.5 minutes to show the actual water being used.

Great company. I purchased the Flume 1 last time it was posted on slickdeals. I was having some interference with my unit whenever I turned on a high wattage appliance. Customer support quickly responded and worked with their engineers to eliminate the issue. Water consumption numbers match well with my utilities numbers.

I've had a v1 installed for a little over a year. it will catch things like a small, constant leak that runs over a few hours. good for irrigation, toilets, etc. But I had a major water leak at 5am that it clearly missed . So the 'intelligence' is lacking yet.. despite me not using any water for 6+ mos at 5am, then going through 800+ gallons over the course of an hour, no alerts. (someone else previously posted 'how did it not know you were filling a pool at 5am?')...so I clearly had unrealistic expectations for the machine learning capabilities of this software.

So if you're looking for something to monitor usage or small, nagging leaks, this is a sufficient device. If you're looking for catastrophic alerts, this is still lacking.

Don't depend on this to detect pinhole leaks. Bought one, turn on water to trickling level and didn't even detect it. Returned it.

My generation 1 has been able to pick up as little as a slight drip on a faucet. Maybe not pinhole leaks, but pretty good in my opinion.

I think a lot of these inconsistent reviews have to do with installation and water meter on which it is installed. Check their website for a list of specifically supported water meters and check your meter first to be sure it's on that list before you buy.
I started with Ver 1 and later upgraded to Ver 2. You set your own alerts. It will determine flow down to 1/1000 of a gallon. Some meters move the tiniest bit and may set off 1/100th of a gallon readings. Mine is off by about 1/2 gal / hr.
You set your own alerts. I have mine set fairly sensitive for over-use alert and it goes off every time shrubs are watered or pool is topped off. My meter is 1000' from base with line of sight and stays connected no problem. You cannot have a metal cover over meter, it works on RF and RF does not like metal.
Overall, I just want it for high flow leak alerts and it works perfectly for that. It's a great product with easy installation via app, great integration both via app and online, and extremely fast support response.
Attached is screenshot from online Flume portal... basically all of this usage though is false positive just due to pressure fluctuations due to long run of water line up hill and water supply flowing downhill. Also attached is usage alert from topping off pool today, alerts come in-app, via text, and via email.

Got this on the crazy $50 deal from orbit.

Fantastic, for the price for sure.

Quite accurate from my measurements.

Caught a busted sprinkler that might've already cost more than $50 in the past couple months.

Wow, was this posted? I personally have the v1. The battery life is terrible, wish they would give a better discount on v2 for existing users, since it's not worth me buying another one for 150...
