JayzTwoCents did a review on this tower cooler a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by its performance/value:

It's almost identical to the Hyper 212 Black Edition in design and mounting mechanisms, but this one has 5 copper heatpipes vs 4 on the Hyper 212 BE.

Even for those of us that like everything blacked out this is a good deal. I have some Arctic fans that were very well reviewed that I can slap on this in a push-pull config and have 5 heat pipes.
Bought the White version right when J uploaded his video. Now in for a black thanks to a case I just picked up.

Is this good/compatible with i7-10700K (bought that on the B&H deal recently)?

Will this fit the Costco HP omen 25L?
Is say it's worth a try. Clearance looks good, and the mounting appears standard. I would confidently say 95% chance of success.
Not much out there though to confirm one way or the other.

I have the white version. Got a significant drop in temps compared to my stock ryzen cooler, which allowed some slight overclocking. It is addressable rgb, so if your motherboard doesn't have an argb header, you will need to use a controller for the rgb effects.

In 4 1. Just build a pc with 10850k. I couldn't wait for CM Hyper 212 to come down and hope this will work well. Thank you.
All these people buying cheap $30 coolers with 10850k are going to be in for a rude surprise. Lol. 275+watts on this little cooler? Might as well have bought a 10700.

it would only peak at those watts. won't run at constant load. The cpu will throttle back to lower TDP after some seconds.

With that said I just tested a 10850K open air, undervolted it to 1.175v 4.8 GHz and get around 220w at wall on CB20 and scored 6349 points. Max temp recorded was 75C on similar air cooler ID-Cooling 224 -XT which apparently performs better than Hyper 212.

looks like the fan is 148mm tall which is too tall for the hp omen 25L case.

You know though, for some people liquid cooling is not for them.

I have had some friends even with a 3 day leak test still have issues with leaking on custom cooling solutions.

I think if you've had a bad experience is liquid cooling or AIO's you would get burned once and never go back although the leak rate on a good AIO is going to be low. You will probably have a pump failure before a leak.

That being said a leak in the wrong place can wreck your 3XXX nvidia gpu along with other components...mobo...etc - so...

So for those who refuse to go to AIO water coolers or don't want to go to custom loops, air is literally all they have. That being said, I think if you spent the 400 -500 doollars on your i9, you might as well spent another hundred on a great air cooler, why skimp?

Also, those of you who buy 120 AIO's are probably neck and neck with a good air cooler, so why buy a 120 AIO unless you have a space issue. Should go at least 240+.

Yeah but that little ID-Cooling 224 -XT is a beast of a budget cooler. I saw a review on that showing it competing with higher end Scythe and Noctua air coolers. Pretty crazy for $30. I am sure the ID-cooling is quite a bit better than the hyper212 and Vetroo.

Big difference between water and a $30 air cooler. $60 fuma 2, or $90 dh15 are much better suited air cooling options.

I agree, I would recommend going with a nice Noctua even though they are ugly and color scheme sucks.

I tried the id cooling 224 and it was no better then my old hyper 212. Neither one is going to allow this chip to boost fully. Open air under volted at 4.8 doing cb20 isn't saying much. This is quite literally one of the hottest most inefficient chips in production at the moment. See:

https://www.anandtech.com/show/16341/intel-core-i9-10850k-review-the-real-intel-flagship/2

The hyper 212 clones are best suited for 75-125w loads. Meaning 6 or 8 core with moderate oc.
