This might be good for a go bag but it's not good for daily use or hiking or camping. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for better quality.

I have this similarly priced headlamp(well it's 14 bucks but still) that I quite like:

Has some neat features like a hat clip and an adjustable angle and an option to turn it off or on by waving your hand.

Has a red light as well.

Got some Energizer brand headlamps right before Hurricane Sandy and they are still running strong. Good for when power goes out.

Highly recommend black diamond if your budget allows. This is a great entry level price point or for the kids.

To be honest, I've never been disappointed by one of these cheap Energizer headlamps. They always seem to last despite the abuse. I'm convinced that it's because they're so simple in operation.

A few months ago,I bought a pretty good headlamp for like a dollar or less at harbour freight, along with similarly priced useful things (60 cent magnetic screw tray, buy one item and get one of those lights with the hook on it that has a pointed light and one that's sort of like a lamp with a mirror behind it to increase the brightness much further beyond what the one I had like it that didn't have the mirror), the headlamp can be adjusted by tilting up and down, has a big button on the right side so you don't have to fiddle around in the dark to find it and uses two aa batteries and while I don't remember the lumens, I was actually impressed at how bright it was, considering I had only paid like a buck or less for it, and makes me cringe at the thought that before I had bought it,I was considering spending $10+ for one online. I can only imagine something like this being only slightly better, if better at all. And again, you can actually tilt the headlamp on the hf one to point at your desired angle, this one seems to just be straight forward with your head.

I don't know if it's still on sale, but from what my friend says, they often run sales on similar stuff month after month. Check the coupon page of the harbour freight app, it might be there.

Might save you 7-8 bucks if it's still going on.

I bought and returned this headlamp. Not adjustable and the light isn't great. There are dozens of better headlamps on Amazon for the same price or less.
