I'm 6'0 and i wrote a 10 minute scientific response but the back button deleted it. Seriously, is this worth it? I can either take a walker from an elderly giant or hang olympic rings.

Was this made for when I put my hand upon your hip? When I dip, you dip, we dip?

Not sure why everyone is hating on your comment, I completely agree. This thing seems silly to get just for dips, might as well spend a little more and get something that does more
This can be used for a variety of exercises, other than dips. Eg:
  1. L-sit
  2. Planche
  3. Handstand
  4. Back Lever
  5. Front Lever
  6. Knee/Leg Raises
  7. Bodyweight Rows
  8. Incline Push-Up (on its side)
These are easy to put in the closet when not in use, offer a few exercises not possible on a tower's dip bars, and are much cheaper than a tower. The pull-up bar is the single benefit a tower has over this, which some people may not need/want, and if they do, they could always grab a cheap doorway pullup bar. Towers require significantly more room, as they are not easily stored away. This item will definitely suit many people's needs better than a tower.

Or cheese dip... Although, the guacamole is probably safer than 400lb of hot liquid gold.

Can you do pull ups on this? I've seen some that advertise it but was wondering how effective it is with your body in a L shape. I have a tower in my garage but just bought a new car so there goes my workout space. Was hoping to workout in my living room. I have a doorway pull up bar but never use it because it leaves marks on the door frame. Aside from space, the pull up is the one thing I'm having a hard time replicating in my living room.

You would not be able to do full range-of-motion pullups with this, unless you have something sturdy to stack them onto. Regarding your pull-up bar leaving marks on your door frame: Wrap some old towels/t-shirts/etc around the parts that make contact. I have a black pullup bar on a white door frame. After removing the pull-up bar, you'd never have known it was there.

If you have a couple of squat racks you can position them face to face, flip the J-hooks around, put the barbells on the J-hooks and dip away all day long.

Why would you want to mess with this contraption?
Good idea for those who own squat racks, but I would guess the majority of people don't own their own squat racks or have the space for one.

Plus, everyone has different fitness interests and goals, and dip bars are as basic of a piece of equipment to a calisthenics athlete as a bench press is to a weight lifter due to the versatility of exercises and holds that can be practiced with a set of dip bars.

Not your standard pull up, but you can use them to perform Australian pull ups and a host of other pulling exercises that can help build your pulling strength. Australian pull ups and the associated negative exercise are great in the progression for those who can't quite comfortably perform pullups with strict proper form.

I've owned this set of dip bars for a couple years now. Good quality build, but ever so slightly wobbly after assembly. Not so wobbly that stability is compromised or feels unsafe to use when performing planche holds and push ups, but there was a very minor rocking motion initially with mine that I easily fixed by placing a thin piece of foam under the leg that was slightly shorter than the others to balance everything out. Overall, pretty happy with my purchase and paid about this price or even a few bucks less for them.

I purchased this a week ago for $61. After seeing this SD post, I tried to get a price adjustment via chat with an Amazon customer representative and they declined my request. So, now I have to file a return and repurchase the same item which will result to them losing money for the shipping. I swear, some of their policy doesn't make any sense.
