I tried trading in an S4. The trade-in value is 400, but they are calculating the price without the instant rebate, so it's not $400 off this listed price.

YMMV: I was about to pickup an S7+ but figured I'd double check on the S6 again. Didn't show on the Shop Samsung app but I was able to purchase the 256GB version in Mountain Gray for $386.99 via the website. No free buds and only 2mos YT Premium, but big price difference from the S7+ for the same screen.

True, but to me the screen on the S7+ is too big, so that's a con. 120Hz is great as well but depending on your use case it may not be worth the extra $

Yup, I have the s6 and completely happy with it. (So cancelled my order) Maybe the Tab S8 will have enough changes for me to upgrade

depends on what you plan to use it for. I'm going to be replacing my aging laptop and see whether I can remove that from my work bag.

i trade in my S6 for a 512G S7, and just received the S7 today.

i got to say it is a BIG disappointment, so much so that i am considering return the S7 and keeping the S6.

the picture quality from OLED to LED is, well, huge. i watch some youtube HDR content side by side, not just the black levels, but the color vibrancy, view angle, color shifting even the brightness is just worse without me even trying to spot the difference. (screen brightness is controlled by youtube app when play HDR content)

and the speaker quality is lacking. they both have 4 speakers but the S6 has much better bass response, and S7 sound like the typical laptop speaker from year 2000.

all in all, maybe i am spoiled by having OLED for phone, TV and tables for years, the S7's screen is so disappointing if you coming from a OLED tablet. maybe S7+ is the way to go, but IMHO, S6>S7
