Don't get Slammed. Be careful: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/...e-1.350235

They are a power broker and by providing them with your info, they will switch you over to their services (using PG&E wires/pipes) but with their own service charges.

Never heard of this company, but UGI gas gives you $100 instant rebates off of smart thermostats of your choice. UGI electric seems to only give you $50 off for some odd reason.

You have to be a PG&E customer for this.

I got a $50 rebate last year for installing a smart thermostat (Sensi). Its not the best, so I was wondering if I am able to jump on this deal. Not sure if the rebate is a different one or not.

yeah I'm in a similar boat. I got the Ecobee last year and got the $50 rebate. I'm annoyed with Ecobee because it lacks multi-user geofencing, so I'm thinking of switching to a Nest.

I noticed it says: "Limit one thermostat per household. Not eligible for additional smart thermostat PG&E rebates." so probably not.

Why is that a requirement? Are they going to monitor usage?
Of course to get the most out of the Nest, you'll want to connect it to Wifi.

Not positive, but I understand you'll have to allow PG&E to monitor the thermostat and allow them to control it "as needed"
