Thank you for being a Bucks member, and a valuable part of our eBay community. We're reaching out to tell you about upcoming changes to the eBay Bucks program.

After careful consideration, we've decided to retire the 1% earnings reward on everyday purchases starting April 1st, 2021. The good news is, you will continue to receive bonus Bucks offers, so you can keep earning.

And, beginning April 1st, the Bucks you earn will have a 12-month redemption window, so there's even more time to score those big savings.

How do I earn eBay Bucks?
On or before March 31st, 2021 all eBay Bucks members will continue to earn 1% in addition to any Bucks Bonus Promotions that eBay may run on all qualifying purchases. When you receive a bonus offer, just activate the offer and start shopping on eBay and you'll automatically earn eBay Bucks on qualifying purchases. Earn eBay Bucks during a calendar quarter and you will receive an eBay Bucks Certificate for the total amount earned after that quarter ends.

Why is the base earn being retired?
After careful and thorough consideration, we decided to retire the 1% earning as we look to continuously optimize our offerings. The good news is that we will continue to offer limited time eBay Bucks Bonus promotions for earning eBay Bucks. In addition, all Bucks earned on or after April 1st , 2021 through the Bonus offers will now be valid for 12 months.

We'll see about the year redemption if you get a year to acure bucks or if they are still issued by quarter. If they extend it to a year but keep cap at $500 that could be an issue.

Even less reason to use ebay, it just sucks that they are practically the only site around.

I would say that I hope they have bonus bucks offers more often but I highly doubt it.

In short, they are stopping the universal 1% back on all purchases. They will still have targeted events where you can earn x% bucks, and the new expiration date has been extended to 12 months.

Personally I never made much off the bucks, but I def ALWAYS appreciated seeing that 1% every purchase I made. It will be missed Frown

Haven't sold on Ebay for a long time, you're saying if i want to list now, I have to give up my SS to them first? Or is it for new seller sign ups?
