I just go by peer-reviewed medical studies over the past 20 years that masks show that they don't work!
Please provide context to the your research. I am not sure about you, but I will continue trust the science, the infectious disease specialists, doctors, and surgeons that I am a patient of and consider friends. Talk to any doctor, ER or ICU or surgical nurse for actual medical advice. They absolutely work, especially when everyone in a group is wearing one!

at least i can still use them at work. i am using one right now. single ply, made in vietnam. disinfecting it by sunshine on my dash.
Me too, I bought a pack or 50c cloth masks on Amazon for $10 and been using them since the pandemic. I just wash and reuse them for short grocery trips, if I go to anywhere more crowded I will put on a medical mask inside + 1 cloth mask outside. People don't find it useful simply cause they are those that don't even put on mask.

Well but first it comes down to wearing mask. Vietnamese here, if you don't wear a mask being in public you will be fined up to $150 each time. The gov also implements a forceful quarantine period for all people coming from outside, the last time I check they are putting ~80k people under strict quarantine. If we don't do that we know our medical systems would not be able to catch up with rising cases. So better safe than sorry I guess.

Yup they sure do, that's why in 2016 Vietnam did one of the largest studies in the world that showed masks do not work. Look it up!

ironically, they wear these masks everyday because they have horrible air pollution, not was for covid protection, for decades.

i dont see how your logics go. how are those eat better with sunshine, fresh air and socialize related to covid? are you blaming people in Florida for lack of sunshine and fresh air? eating unhealthy and no social activities lead to covid spread?

Just like they suggest that hand washing is potentially ineffective? Nonetheless, the analysis is technically statistically insignificant. Listing a few studies that you've read does not imply comprehension. Utilization of face masks does not assume protection from the virus. But, protective measures is what we understand best at this point. Strange that this point must be explained to a skeptical ID RN.
