Looks like this could be beaten by many of the Chinese projectors around the $50 price point. I tried this one[amazon.com] recently and was really impressed with the value but ultimately returned it because I wanted more. I ended up spending a lot more on a better product. Horizontal and vertical keystone correction (> 30 degrees) is really important in a portable projector but you have to pay for that.

Wemax Dice[amazon.com] for $509 as it was then. I didn't post it since it's 5x the price of this deal, but since you asked... And yes, a refurb Epson like this one[epson.com] might suit some people better. It's 4x the price of the Philips but 10x the projector. One instance where the law of diminishing returns does not apply.

this or Anker Nebula with android and soda can size?
The Anker Nebula, of course. But again, you're paying a lot more for it. Also look on your local classifieds (OfferUp, CL) - projectors are very common and I see some Anker models around me.
One nice thing about buying thru Amazon for at least some products is that you can try and return. I ordered a projector on a Saturday evening, received it on the Sunday morning, tried it, and returned it at Whole Food by lunchtime. If (like me then) you haven't used a projector before, it's really useful to try one to understand what you need and get an idea of the potential.
For $100, that's what you get. Anything claiming 1080 or higher in this price range is lying. It's more than fine for outdoor movie nights and travel use.
