This is a lens not a camera. Sony does make good cameras for low light. Generally speaking, the images from a low megapixel camera (like an a7S III) will have less noise than images from a high megapixel camera (like an a7R III).
As far as lenses go, one with a large aperture can let in more light allowing you can keep your ISO lower. This lens can go to f/1.8 so it will perform well. 35mm may not be wide enough for astrophotography though and it may be difficult to focus on stars at f/1.8.

Will it be a good match for a Sony a7RIV?
The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art was just amazing for portraits taken with my Nikon D850.
But since I switched to Sony just a couple of months ago, I ended up with no budget for any other photography equipment.
The price for this lens sounds decent, and since I won't be able to spend more big bucks for my a7RIV for a while, I'm so tempted to grab this "affordable" deal...
I have this but am probably going to get rid of it. It's small , light, and inexpensive but the rendering just is weird and the way it treats some highlights is weird. I wasn't sure until I got some other lenses from sigma and tamron which render way better.
So, good for a budget, but otherwise no.

Hope that tokina zeiss partnership gives birth to a 135/1.8
