That's a really good price for these specs. Very tempted, but I'd hate to deal with Newegg if there were ever any issues requiring a return or refund.

Interesting to see some of these starting to come down in pricing. I thought I'd give the HP Omen laptop a try from that deal the other day since it could configure to the 3070 and still be under a $1500 total with the other options. The gf is getting the Lenovo we got from a slickdeal around black Friday a year or so ago. Anyone think they'll go back up again? I heard at one point the miners were even looking at getting laptops to mine with. Between that, possible shortages, and scalpers/bots, it's good to see these prices becoming better (lower).

I have an Omen and it didn't hold up well. Some of the keys wore off while others cracked and some just stopped working. The battery is gone after a few years as well. I wasn't very impressed.

I'm looking for a replacement for my current Omen 17.3" with a GTX 1060 that I love, but the plastic case is cracking in more than one place and I need a replacement. This looks like a good deal, but I've never purchased an Aorus laptop. Anyone have a good experience with this laptop or a similar model of this brand that they'd be willing to share?

I've been using this laptop for about 6 months, traveling for work every other week it has held up well so far. It runs games smoothly. I would recommend it especially at this price.

So is this a good buy for a gaming laptop under $1000? Or should I still wait. I don't need anything extreme or even a 17in acreen

if it's not urgent, then i recommend waiting to get the laptop that's right for you at the right price. i'd personally want to steer you away from dealing with the rebate alone, unless you're okay with waiting 5 months to get your prepaid card.

Even without the rebate is this not a good deal? My laptop crapped itself yesterday. I need something soon. Lenovo 580 ran well for a long time

I also and still is using the omen. It hasn't died on me yet, but I also think you're right on the battery. Still a badass gaming rig. I also mine on the laptop at 24GH/s. I'm waiting again on that Other omen.

I'd like to throw out there that the weight on this laptop is pretty impressive at ~5.5 lbs.
