Seriously. I found this deal for a friend looking for a new grinder. Welp, hopefully someone finds this useful. I dropped $230 for my baratza virtuoso. I would have loved to have gotten this for $50.

I've had this for maybe 6 months the only issue is the grind selection thing moves all the way over on its own. Dementia sufferer poured water in if from running sink... still working. I was going to replace it but I was dying for coffee at 5am only beans so said f it.. and still working 3x a week

Maybe because it's an off-brand one that is originally $70 down $20? Why would you think it deserves to be upvoted?

Maybe the combination of 6,300 ratings, 4.5*, and a 28% discount could have something to do with it?

Damn, imagine being so new to the internet that you don't realize that you can literally buy yourself reviews.

Verified purchases don't even mean a thing, either. They can literally shill-ship crap to people with an address just so they can boost their posts.

Here's the real test: show me their website and show me that I can order replacement parts two years down the road. If I can't, that's because it's junk destined to be e-waste as soon as it breaks.

Hence, the downvotes: it's some Chinese garbage with an inflated price.

I bought this for $55 in January, use it daily and it works great. Use it to make French Press, Pour Over and Cold Brew. I don't claim to be an expert coffee maker but at this price, it's only a tad more expensive than a blade grinder and well worth it.

I posted a more detailed review on Amazon, but anyone looking for $100-$150 conical burr grinder is not getting a deal by buying this at $50. This simply isn't a $70 grinder.

Here's my main issues:
  • ALL dark roast beans I've tried (4 varieties) get stuck in the hopper. The only medium roast beans I currently have are dry and feed properly, but expect to be manually feeding beans everytime you grind if you want this to work.
  • Coarse grind is too small for good cold brew
  • Coarse grind is too inconsistent (the finer you go, the better consistency gets)
  • The static cling is very real.
If you just want to make medium grind, medium roast coffee for drip, this might work fine, but if you want something with great variable control, great consistency, that just works when you press the button and doesn't have static cling issues, don't buy this.

I reached out to the company, hoping device is bad or that they'd have some response around these issues...no answer. Too many issues for a "$70" grinder, so I'm going to return this and spend a bit more on something that will last that I can enjoy.

Yeah, a Baratza is way more, a Capresso and similar grinders are a bit more...but this isn't a deal, with this grinder you're lucky if you're getting what you pay for.

How long do you brew your cold brew? A really good coarse grind makes awesome cold brew over 24 hours. I can make semi-decent cold brew with this, but have to brew for a much shorter time. The better cold brew I can make with this grinder is literally sifting out half the grinds since the grind is so inconsistent at the coarse setting. I make a pot of drip coffee from the left over sifting from the process of getting enough coarse grinds for a jug of cold brew.

I bought this in January, coupon at the time was only $15 off, so this is a better deal.
It's a little loud but I can just press the button and walk away. The hopper could be a bit bigger, but it's still better than having to fill it up every time.
I love it. No regrets.
