They also allow 10% off military discount with this deal. Was out the door for around $95. This will vary based on your localities taxes.

Keep in mind that this is a 12v battery not the 20v battery used in their big boy tools. The 12v series of tools seems to be expanding but doesn't have the power or cost of their more rugged 20v or older 18v line.

You can say the same about m12 and m18. I believe there is a bigger motive here with Dewalt pushing 12v plateform starting with their 400 ft/lb nut busting impact wrench. Im very interested in and will likely get upon release.

Dewalt is introducing new versions of this line up with substantially more power to best Milwaukee. That being said, the new models will be more expensive and the sale versions may be enough for most people.

Me too, I have the current model and if they can get that kind of power out of that size I will be first in line. I have the big tools, but a small impact with that kind of power is a game changer.

Has anybody had any luck getting the batteries? I'm wondering if dewalt is having trouble producing them. No signs of them here in Missouri.

The Lowe's manager near my house said that the batteries would be in stock in two weeks. That was last weekend March 20th so....

He was looking at his computer screen when he told me that, but he could have been just trying to get me to buy the tool that I wanted. He said "Buy the drill today and come back in two weeks and I'll have the battery for you"

I see that as well. I am hoping that means the deal is so good and they are all bought out quietly.

I heard that they got the batteries in this week. My store showed 20 in their inventory ( per the employees handheld), but they were still on the truck waiting to be unloaded.

I'm heading up there now to buy the drill kit.
