What the difference between Youtube Vanced/Adblocker and Youtube Premium?
I don't use browsers/Ad Blockers.

But YouTube Vanced is identical, however, when casting YT to TV or Chromecast or whatever, those devices cannot run Vanced and have commercials.

3 adblockers make an ad-free YT: Adblock, Adblock Plus, and Adguard. It's likely overkill, but all three let very little through.
Exactly, I see no ads in Firefox on youtube with Adblock Ultimate and Ublock Origin.
I also use Youtube Vanced on my phone with no ads and the app on Firestick blocks them also. I have no need for youtube premium.

It's not just the ads. Downloads for when you're offline. Being able to use other apps while youtube plays or turn your screen off make it so hard to go back to an unpaid account too.
All included with free Vanced.

Don't forget people, you get YouTube music with premium, it's similar to Spotify so it's a great extra perk. Also the movies with ads on YouTube won't have ads anymore, but the selection and browsing is not the best

For everyone saying to just use an ad-blocker, is there a way to do that on the Fire TV YouTube app? Earnest question. I pay for Premium (and find it absolutely worth it), but I'd be tempted to cancel if I could block ads on the smart TV.

For those talking about using Ad Blockers ... please note that millions of people watch YouTube on a TV. Through an app. Ad Blockers aren't an option.

Additionally, YouTube Music comes with the package. Similar services run $10-15/month. Throw in sharing with your household and it is a decent value.

Unfortunately, YouTube Music sucks compared to Google Play Music if you are someone who wants to listen to your downloaded music via playlists (road trips where you may not have service). Shuffling the playlist does not work like you think it would. Super, super annoying.

Not to be that guy, but if you're watching content from a creator the least you can do is view an ad to help and support their channel.

That's a good question. How does that work for creators and YTP? If it's a premium account do they get a chunk of your monthly fee? They should. Or should get paid for whatever they do as if you did view adds.

It is a modified YouTube app with the "paid customer" features permanently enabled. It updates automatically just like YouTube and it does not require root.

It is YOUTUBE ADVANCED... But without the "Ad"... So it is just " YouTube Vanced".

I always use a visa gift card that has a zero balance and they always work. Never use my real debit or credit cards.

Smart Youtube TV is ad free, but you need to get the right version. Look on youtube. I'm using it right now, no ads.

Be warned: once you start using Youtube without ads, you'll NEVER want to go back
Precisely my problem lol. Signed up for Google play music (which is now YouTube music and includes premium) for 8$ when it first came out. Price and inclusions have stayed the same for me, even throughout all the changes. Come across deals all the time that offer like 2-6 months of free Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music or something...but know that there's no point in signing up for those because i can't go back to watching ads on YouTube, so I'd be paying Google their 8$ either way you cut it. They've got me on their hook for life basically lol. Yea, I know, first world problems.

My YouTube Vanced app (free) does all of that. It's actually just a modified real YT app.
How do you get it to work with casting?
