On ipad anyone know where to enter the code? When I go to the redeem page it is prepopulated with an offer for 1 month free. I don't see anywhere else in settings or memberships to enter the BB code.
Thanks in advance.
I am only getting 1 month with the code on my pixel Frown

It's really trash how Google disabled YouTube's background play and picture-in-picture mode just so they could charge for it. Every other app has this for free.
They disabled those features to ensure your device displays ads every 3 minutes if you don't fork up the Premium cash.

Just create a scrap Gmail account, pause, then delete account.
This is not a good solution for me as I need to keep my gmail account. Any good way to cancel the auto-renewal after trial ends?

Got the code to work. On iPad you don't want to do it through the iPad app or in safari but use google chrome and make sure that the Google account you are using is the same one you use for your YouTube so all of your subscribed channels come over.
Besides ad block this also allows background play on the iPad so you can do multitasking.
Also it looks like you can cancel immediately and the subscription will end at the next billing cycle.

3 adblockers make an ad-free YT: Adblock, Adblock Plus, and Adguard. It's likely overkill, but all three let very little through.
Doesn't work on mobile though.

New accounts only. create gmail "[email protected]" and keep rolling the digits: 00, 01, 02, 03, etc.

I use a rebate card with $20 on it for the CC#, as to not risk a CC# stolen for my accounts. Also, this helps to avoid monthly charge if I forget to cancel.

Note: You lose downloaded, and playlists. I don't care really, since I listen to new releases anyway and can remember my favorite artists, etc. and put them right back in.

Also, cancel immediately once signed up, it will still keep your music subscription valid for 1-3 month depending on how long the subscription lasts.

I signed up for the family plan which included Google Play Music and YouTube Red for $15/mo. Google still only charges me $15/mo and I qualify for YouTube Music and YouTube Premium even though they didn't exist when I signed up.

I wish more companies would do that with pricing. For example, today I received an email from Disney+ saying they're increasing their price. Maybe I ask too much, but my YouTube account and cell phone company grandfather me in on the price. I hate constant increases, Netflix has to be the worst about that, they are creating their own content which seems ok on the surface, they're adding more content. Then right after that you hear their earning report and they continue to increase/hit record profits.

Interesting. My method of payment will continue to be charged monthly at the India rate and I will not have to actively use a VPN when watching or listening, only to make the initial purchase?
That is correct. You only need to use the VPN once and you will continue to pay $2.6 a month for youtube premium forever. No need to VPN when watching or listening.

Does anyone know if I can get the deal but wait to activate it until April when my previous trial expires? (I'm currently using a 4 month free trial that came with my Samsung s20 phone)

Same on my rooted Moto G Stylus. Still in for one on the Family Home PC.
Your phone doesn't need to be rooted for youtube vanced. And unlock origin on chrome seems blocks basically all ads on youtube.

I don't mind watching ads on youtube, the ads I hate are those ads that are an hour plus long that you have to manually skip.

Correct. On a rooted phone I believe it completely replaces youtube, also links from other apps like Chrome open in Vanced instead of regular youtube.
