Can you fill out the LSA information completely online? I never get things in the mail in time.

Never mind I see the answer posted right above me. Thanks!
Yes and you can submit your receipt for verification online as well, through the messaging portal

Wondering how they compare with the 6 Ah batteries that can be found on ebay for $70 - 1.5x the capacity for 1.4x the price.

I have a $15 off $100 purchase HD coupon that requires it to be scanned in the store in order to use it. I'm heading to HD today to see if there is a way to order these batteries and a few sheet metal screws to get over $100 and still be able to use the coupon. I'll report back on what happens. $85 for these batteries & charger set with LSA would be awesome.
I tried to get HD to let me use the $15 coupon on this deal. They said there wasn't any way to do it since this deal is online only and the coupon is in-store only. $99 is still a smoking deal so I ordered the set anyway. Many thanks to the OP!

They had these around black friday for $80. It is still a good deal. They usually have them on sale around fathers day too. The $80 deal was just batteries too, no charger or bag I believe.

This is a good deal, you get LSA on these because they come with the charger. If you just buy the batteries alone you do not get LSA.

The two battery 4Ah deal is still valid, for $79 at Home Depot stores only, but not eligible for the LSA.

The HD website says $198, but according to Brickseek, it's $79 at in-stock HD stores.

Not even close. Free replacement for life easily beats the minimal up front cost savings.

Register for the LSA and follow up with Ridgid. FOLLOW UP.

If it's anything what has happened to me numerous times, it won't move for like two months, and then I send them a message and it gets approved the next day.

And yes, I messed this up on the little compressor.

Moderate increase in power output, using power management circuitry on the tool side and battery management circuitry on the battery side. An Octane tool with a non-Octane battery will have moderately reduced power, and a non-Octane tool won't benefit from an Octane battery.

For light homeowner use you might not notice much of a practical difference. But even for a non-pro, you might sometimes have a more demanding task that will benefit from the improved Octane performance. E.g. if you're building a deck, or repairing a car with a lot of rusted-on bolts.
FWIW I notice a definite difference in power when using my octane 6ah in my Gen5x hammer drill. My non octane batteries are 4ah but I don't think that should change the power output by itself? I use the drill as an ice auger and it is easy to feel the difference.

Have been using a brushless drill for a couple years with the 1.5 ah bats that came with it and have been very happy with it. Recently bought a kit that included a 4ah battery and the drill is a completley different animal. The subcompact impact wrench is also much stronger going from a 2ah to a 4ah bat - all non-octane.

This drill:

I have older Ridgid 18V power tools that use model 130254011 Ni-Cd batteries (just replaced 1 for the second time under LSA). Would these batteries be compatible with my older tools? They are 18V. I think this would be a good deal for me since it comes with a charger -- I do know my Ni-Cd charger wouldn't work for these.
