Fyi it took discover 3 statements before they gave me a credit. If you don't carry a balance you will just go negative $45. Not great if you're just looking to get a "free" year of sams membership

went couple times with my friend, more choices than Costco, store lay out like BJ, need to check expires day before put in your cart.

It's ok. They have more "name brand" stuff, rather than as much store brand (Kirklands), but their store brand stuff (other than toilet paper) is inferior to Costco's. In addition, the fuel at Costco is top tier and Sam's isn't. Costco is $15 more/yr.

Pretty much a wash so I'd go with whichever is closer or if you have another reason to drive you there. In my case, they refuse to match Costco's gas price at the nearest station, but the one across town (in the richer area) matches Costco's prices and is further away. I'm now driving near Costco every day for work so why would I want to encourage Sam's unfair behavior by shopping there.
