Seems like a solid deal! G-Sync Ultimate, 1ms response time, 1440p@240Hz, and HDR (600, could be better) are hard to find all in one. RTings rates it pretty highly too. Their review is here: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...re-aw2721d
This should tick a lot of boxes for anyone with an NVIDIA card looking for a high end gaming monitor. I think it's just missing 4K, HDMI 2.1, and better HDR.
I got the 1080p one from Bestbuy for my son but I really wanted this one but I can't pay that much for my kid to play games on and not do his virtual school work 😂
I saw this earlier but was a little hesitant. My lg 27gn950 just arrived and I'm honestly loving it. 4k at 160hz afterthought latest update is awesome though you need the latest gen gpu to run that. I'd love to hear from someone if this is worth it over the monitor I'm using now

Actually one con, I dont like the on/off button placement (lower right corner) because when I want to move my monitor (with a montior arm) I always hit the button.
Also the stand is heavy but that is not a bad thing

I'm sure it is a great monitor, but damn that is a lot of money for a 27" 16:9 panel. I feel qualified in saying this as someone who spent that much on a XB271HU in 2016.
I bought this monitor a couple weeks ago at Microcenter along with a Gigabyte G34WQC. I wanted to love the MUCH cheaper Gigabyte, but the 240hz and native G-sync is just too nice to look at. If you're a FPS connoisseur (me) and want IPS color accuracy, then the Alienware is perfect. Flight sim/racing buffs will want something that's 34".
Also, there is new Acer Predator out (XB273U) that is also 27" and 240hz. I believe it's only $699.
Wish it was 160hz and cheaper, who the heck can even run 1440p at 240hz?
Can hit 240Hz+ for games like Fortnite, CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, etc.
On my system (5800X + 3070) I can hold 240Hz in Fortnite (1440p, all settings low with the exception of view distance and textures being on epic) in early-mid game with ~70% GPU usage. Late game FPS drops to 150-180 no matter how fast your hardware is due to server side issues.
