Good deal. I've owned the PC version of the first one for like a decade and I like it but it stresses me out too much. Playing on a 6" screen might be the only way I'll actually able to get through this.
I wouldn't worry about any downgrade in graphics with this version.
The Switch may not have "high end" graphics power compared to other modern machines, but this game came out in 2010, and even at the time it was not a particular demanding title (Frictional games was a very small indie studio at the time). "Low-end" hardware in 2017 (the Switch) is still more powerful than most of mid-tier machines from this era. If they managed to make the Switch ports of the Bioshock series every bit as beautiful as the original, you should expect the same here.
I've played through the original Amnesia 3 times on PC - one of the best horror experiences I've ever had in a game (horror is my favorite gaming genre).
This is a really good deal on these horror games. The devs completely understand this genre. Man, I never thought that switch prices would rival steam's...

Just trying to figure out if its worth it to own/play this on the Switch vs the PC (Steam). Portability aside, it always seems like these kinds of games are just lower res'd/lesser graphics versions to run on the Switch and that the experience might be visually a lot better on another platform.
Anyone own these games on both PC and the Switch and can comment on the comparison?

Dude...it's a decade+ old indie game. The Switch is more than capable of running it. I'd be wary of modern AAA games ported to the Switch, but it's perfect for this type of game.

I've played a couple of scary games from my backlog and I found Amnesia: a Machine for Pig to not be very scary. I played this one first, and wondered why most people said this series was scary.
Well, I played the first game called Amnesia: The Dark Descent and oh boy is that one much more spooky. The ambiance, music and game mechanics really get you immersed. I have yet to finish this one, even though I'm probably half way through. Frankly I am too scared right now to finish that one.
I have not played the other ones, yet.

I was back and forth on buying this but as a fan of horror games, I took your advice. Now to play this while I wait for Village to come out while hoping that eventually there will be a new or remade fatal frame
