Yes, the battery's can last a year on normal use, I recommend using lithium AA's to speed the lock motor up a bit.
You get a set of 5 physical keys, they are a high security design and cannot be duplicated normally. Also the unit has a microUSB port on the outside as well so you can power it on that way if your batteries die and don't have a key.

I've had the WiFi version for 2 weeks and I've pretty much only used the fingerprint unlock. I'd only use the WiFi unlock in an emergency if a friend or family had to get in. I paid $220 for the one with the wifi. This is a great price.
