The "gold standard" for UV lights are the Convoy S2+ with nichia 365nm led or newer version with LG 365nm led. The Anker uses 380nm so be sure that works for your application. You can also consider a UV filter for protection and to cut back purple light.
They're bought out reviews. Send the product to customers for good reviews. I woulden't trust them.
I bought one like a year ago. It's fine to search a small area but for hunting scorpions in the yard etc you will want a wider beam.

Since you specifically mentioned using this flashlight to search for scorpions, is this light a good option for that?

That's exactly what I want to buy a UV flashlight for, to give to a family member, who recently found a scorpion in their home, here in Arizona.

Or, would it be better to try to find a UV light with a wider beam pattern? Some sort of UV flooder flashlight?
You definitely want a wider beam for scorpion hunting. The ones w/ a bunch of little led's work way better.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply and the feedback. If you happen to know of a specific light to suggest and/or a place to look for them, please feel free to post a link. I would genuinely appreciate it.

Not sure why this had a down vote. Convoy is a great brand. Simon is a good guy.

As others have said here, I haven't used the UV version but I don't have enough good things to say about all of their other flashlights. Which I can actually say I own and are amazing lights both in power and build. So I would expect this to be similar in Quality.

you should always have and use one of these when staying at a motel or hotel. if you think they wash those top covers after every guest you got another thing 'coming'.

Note that this flashlight states using a standard 18650 battery, but it is NOT REPLACEABLE.

Good for yooperlites and other fluorescent minerals?

Read some reviews… Apparently the beam is too narrow for widespread searching

I've wondered about this, do you show them and tell them you want room service? Or do you travel with your own sleeping bag / a sheet?
