At this price with the 500 nit screen; If this is the exact machine you've been waiting for you would be very foolish not to jump on this at this time.

This one is way better
Could you go into more detail on how that one is "way better"? The only differences I'm seeing are that one is $150 more for a Ryzen 7 4800H vs this with an i7-10750H, and the screen on this deal is better is it not? I'm lost as to what would make you think that deal is better?? Maybe for someone that needs the multi threading capabilities of the 4800H, but for normal tasks and most gaming this seems like the better deal being $150 less doesn't it?

It's not "way better". This dude does not know what he's talking about. He's trolling.

If need to run a 24x7 file server at home, use to connect to old Canon USB printer to share to other computers, and also occasional HD gaming, what laptop, processor, etc, would people recommend that has relative low power consumption when not gaming? Would this be good choice?

The AMD runs faster and cooler than the i7, which allowed Lenovo to use a 115W 2060 in the one listed on eBay. The walmart one has a 85W TDP.

i7 (6 core) has faster single core clock speed but AMD (8 core) easily outclasses it in multi core tasks.

Go for it, last year's model Y540 was as low as $899. This means Legion 5 will not be going down anytime sooner since the newer models are getting delayed.

Not bad at all. 2060 still competes quite easily with anything this year. 500nit 240hz screen is nice.

Will do, I tried googling a few different ways and read their return policy page thoroughly expecting they would separate out electronics but didn't find anything. I'll know within a week if I wanna keep it anyway
You do have to look hard but it's true: "Consumer Electronics, Electric Scooters, Hoverboards & Product Care Plans can be returned within 30 days."

Where's the documentation the the Ryzen-based on (on ebay) uses the 115W 2060?

I got the refurbished for $750 from the ebay deal. It came in like new. I am happy with it.

2060 is locked at 80w but can be unlcoked to 100w or 115w. I did 100w unlock.

FYI... Eth mining at 25Mhs @80w and ~27Mhs@100w.

If you want to run a server 24/7 don't use a laptop.
