While I like the deal, it looks like they are entirely plastic, as opposed being glass with only a plastic lid. I would have snagged some were they glass.
What's wrong with using a tiny bit of saran wrap for onions and the original foil/wrapper for butter? Am I being an uncivilized brute?
Yes, it is made for 8 oz. Kerry Gold Irish Butter. I tried Kerry Gold for the first time because of this container, and now I'm hooked. The container actually is too big for 4 oz. sticks of American butter that are half the size. They obviously fit, but you can put two sticks in there. I also learned East Coast sticks of butter are long and skinny and West Coast sticks of butter are short and wide.

BTW, if you don't use butter, it also holds a block of Philadelphia cream cheese. You can also turn it upside down and use it like any Lock & Lock container. That's all it is, plus a little tray inside.

This entire line of Lock and Lock are fantastic quality. Plastic or not. I have some Lock and Lock and the seal is still strong. BTW Lock n lock makes a glass line with plastic covers.

I wish photographers would take to using a darker background for these clear or white items. Nearly impossible to see anything when the product and background are about the same.

I purchased the onion one before. I feel there is the issue that most onions don't fit inside. In addition, a half-used onion gets stuck in the container.

I bought this crap the last time it was advertised on slickdeals. Didnt return it cause it wasn't worth it but the containers are very small and overpriced. Just pay $30 and get yourself some a larger set of quality glass containers
