Convenience factor.

The Switch is a portable console. If I can buy a 512GB SD card and store every single game I own for it, it becomes even more portable.

And when it's in docked mode, nothing beats being able to switch between games like you're browsing your Steam library.

Plus, a lot of people have small children or pets. The bitterant they added to dissuade putting the cartridges in your mouth isn't that effective (put your tongue to one of the cartridges if you're skeptical).

Mario party is a terrible game with no support or expansions. Same with tennis.

Why would you pay the same price for something you can give away or sell?

It's apparently the same price on the eShop too (set account location to Oregon for no tax).

All time low for Amazon selling Mario Tennis is $29.99 according to DekuDeals, but it doesn't say when. $40 is still a bit high considering it's hard to find online matches for this game.

In any case, Amazon and eShop are matching prices on all of these.

I'm seeing $25.01 for Mario aces at Target for a physical copy. The rest are the same price at target as what was put up by the OP. Maybe they updated the website for the sale later. Make sure you select physical to see the price.

Some saying the deal is dead but I got it in less than 5 minutes ago. I went with store pickup so maybe that's why.
