Norelco shavers always last more than a year for me... they just keep working. Bought.

Not sure what happened to yours. Mine currently is about 16 years old and works like new. Charge once a week.

Would this be good to shave my head? Or does it not shave that close?

In my experience, these do not get a close enough shave on my head.

No I bought it and returned it after two weeks time. Bad for bald head use.

Try recharging them only when they need it, not all the time. Norelco shavers have been very reliable for me.

Or just buy a new one like this...Usually not much more expensive than the blades.

I've used Philips/Norelco razors for pretty much my entire adult life, except for when I used a Braun for a few years. I've found them to be reliable and economical. My last purchase was, I believe, a FP deal for a dry Norelco shaver last year, as a backup/travel razor, which actually cost less than a new set of blades would have (see the post above this).

From reading the reviews of this razor, it doesn't appear to shave any better than the more conventional Norelcos, so I'm going to stick with what I already have. One complaint of this one is that the trimmer is a separate attachment, rather than a flip-up like on the dry models.

For people who complain that it doesn't give the absolute closest shave, that's probably true, but for most people, how much does that matter? My face looks clean-shaven the entire day, and that's what's important, right?
