I wouldn't, unless she gets up and moves a lot as the 14" screen on this one might make it a little easier to tote around. Both should be able to do some basic gaming but I think the ryzen 4000 series is still a bit better than the 11th gen Iris graphics. Both are great choices for basic tasks, but up to you, everyone has their own tolerance for doing returns.

Though honestly I'd never give a parent anything other than a Chromebook, as I fear the tech support nightmare that comes along with remotely supporting a Windows laptop Smilie

I have also seen the Lenovo PSREF incorrect before as well. Most likely it is correct, but there is a small chance Costco is correct. Probably won't know until someone actually sees the physical box itself as that is most likely correctly printed on the box.

Edit: There is also one review that indicates it may have a 4600 in it, as they said it's a beast. Perhaps they didn't investigate the specs, but perhaps goes in slight favor of it actually having a 4600?

i would assume costcos listing is correct based on it also being mentioned ina review, costco a lot of times will have slightly modified versions of things, almost always a tiny bit better in some way.

Be very careful with updates on this laptop. Lenovo recently pushed an update that bricked this model for many dozens of customers. See their support forums [lenovo.com] and reddit.

Lenovo is not owning up to the issue and is instead asking each customer individually to ship the laptop for repairs (and -of course- you're SOL if it's out of warranty).

At least Costco has a good return policy, but I for one will no longer recommend Lenovo laptops based on that.
