He didn't say it was too expensive but if it's advertised discount price was $1.95 and the item is $9.01 that is "much higher". If someone charged you 1.3 million for a 300k house you would think this is not what was advertised. (which is the same ratio of cost differential that the current deal suffers from). Not too expensive at $9 but not as advertised.

he meant much higher than listed. OP listed it at $1.95. not "discount".
