Having owned a few lorex systems, I would pass. Their systems are ok at best, but when you compare with more affordable systems you quickly realize the price tag does not dictate substantially better quality imo.
I would pass on this system. I installed two lorex cameras and had nothing bur aggravation from them. Not so much the cameras but the software that requires you to log into a server located in China. The cameras will NOT work if you do not use Lorex software. It took me 6 months to get the cameras replaced once Lorex stopped supporting my cameras with the "upgraded" web based software.
Reolink is a better choice and image quality is just as good. I purchased my cameras directly from Reolink's website.
Like one of the other comments stated. I would pass on Lorex after owning two of their cameras. Lorex requires you to use only their software and no other software such as blue iris will work with their cameras.
Ii spent 6 months trying to get my cameras replaced after Lorex stopped supporting the model I owned with their software. Lorex software is web based and requires you to log into the Lorex servers located in China.
I now own 12 Reolink cameras that work like a charm and are fairly easy to install once you get the hang of their installation process. I purchased the reolink cameras on the reolink website with no issues.
4K video recording is limited to 15fps. That is fine for tracking people but not for faster moving things like cars. Also the nightime range is a low light not pitch black rating so take the 150' down to 98 if using in a very low light setting.

You wire it once and future proof yourself in case you want to switch system. Also it's a smaller single wire than the BNC.

Buy good camera, buy a good DVR, buy a good hard drive. Or buy good cameras, buy a good POE switch, buy a good server.
If you're fortunate enough, connect to off site servers with cloud storage and software. (Currently use Milestone with tons of add ons)
Hahaha. Reolink sucks for night recording. I would pass on both. Let's wait to see what Matt will say on this one.

This. If you're not using blue iris with good poe cams, you're probably doing it wrong...
