I suspect the new pros with m1x to be released very soon (end of March - ships in April). Could be wrong but just me guess.

Wait for the 14/16 model. The new models will be more expensive but the M1 13" will drop to this price as a starting price. I could also see Apple dropping the M1 Air to 899 as well when the M1X 14/16 models debut.
I got an open box Air deal at bestbuy for $649. Awesome deal as it looked new but said satisfactory and factory warranty started a week before I got it.

This same model is $1149 with no tax through the exchange (Military website). Works out cheaper for most who pay sales tax, if eligible.

Not sure why this isn't getting more love. There's a post from a few days ago where Apple is selling the same thing as a refurb @ this price and it has more upvotes. Microcenter is a reputable Apple reseller.

Apple might release a 14" pro, it won't be $1099.

The 16" model will be $2k, if it had the "pro" name, the 14" model won't be close to $1099

You are correct, the 16" model will be over 2k and the 14" model will be somewhere around $1499.
I don't think this deal is a must jump into as I think this will be the normal price for the 13"

That's a good point if they keep the 13", I personally want the M1 and seems like a decent deal for $150 more than the cheapest Air M1 @ Costco. I also agree the new 14" will be $1499, or maybe $1699 initially and they'll drop the price later.

This is the cheapest I've seen an M1 pro so far, especially considering Apple was selling the refurb for the same price.
