I've owned this exact model from Costco for nearly two years and it's running fine. I chose HP because of nearly ten years of great performance from my HP-Win laptops. The upside to buying from Costco is they offer an additional year warranty beyond the manufacturer's 1 year. I've passed this on to a friend that is a public school teacher and they have been using it 6 hrs a day for over a year without a glitch. The Chrome OS is easier to use Google Classroom than their Mac. Don't get excited about the free mouse. It is terrible!

What's so terrible about it? It's $200.

I got this during black friday for a similar price. I had an acer chromebook from costco before which i gave it to my parents and I got this one for personal use. IMO, not as good as the previous acer chromebook. Nothing major, but not a great device.

Negatives
- screen brightness is not great. acer had a better display
- 2 usb-c and 1 usb-b, 1 sd card. No HDMI slot
- everytime laptop goes to sleep mode, it disconnects from wifi (perhaps a power saving feature?)
- battery life is decent, but not as good as the old acer model (but good thing is it charges on usb-c)
- sluggish performance once you open up like 6-7 chrome tabs.

overall, ok purchase given price of chromebooks shot up post the pandemic. but keep expectations low.

I bought 2 of these last time at this price for my kids. They use them every day for school, including video classes and all things Google Classroom. They have been excellent. Speakers and camera are certainly more than good enough. Bonus, it comes with a great protective sleeve and a wireless mouse. The build quality is excellent, very little body flex. Read the other comments for lack of ports, etc. I bought a few USB-C adapters from Monoprice that solved all that by providing lots of other connections in a very small portable-type package. I would definitely recommend at this price, and may buy at least one more.

$10 shipping, or $10 for warehouse pickup.

Will this be available in-warehouse?

I bought this for my mom. I had trouble installing basic apps. Outlook and other apps just crashed to the desktop. I ended up returning it. Probably a defective unit.

Most Chromebooks don't have HDMI ports. But they can output video through USB-C if you use a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Or if you have a USB-C monitor.

Yeah I had to buy a couple for my kids when school shut down, work well, were only like $15 bucks.

I have one - it's great if you are looking for a chromebook. If your needs are actually for a windows or Mac, and you're trying to get it done with this, you'll be disappointed.
But for what most folks do nowadays- zoom and an internet browser, this is perfect

the wifi disconnecting is a setting, you can disable it. And why not if it's going to sleep? I have to agree the 1080 screen is meh, but for $200 you can't complain much.

I got the 32GB version of this for $150 on Black Friday, would probably chose that deal again over spending another $50 for the extra storage, mouse and sleeve.

I think it's great!
