If anyone is interested in buying Samsung S21, buy today (3/8) to get extra benefits.

BOGO offer for Samsung Devices is also ending today (3/8), and tomorrow S21 price is going down by $120 (refer Costco Offer Booklet), so buy today on BOGO offer and go tomorrow and price match to get additional discounts.

S21 Today's Price: $719+Taxes
S21 Price from Tomorrow: $599+Taxes.

So offer goes like below,
1. Buy two S21 today on the BOGO offer. You Pay ($719+taxes) * 2 Devices = $1550 (calculated using 8% taxes; Taxes will differ based on locations, for calculation i have used 8%)
2. File a Rebate with T-Mobile to get $720 back (BOGO Rebate). T-Mobile sends the Virtual Card on 31st Day.
3. Go tomorrow (till 4/4) and get the price matched to get back $120*2 Devices. Get $240 back.

So your cost will be,
  • Cost of two S21 devices (including 8% taxes) = $1550
  • BOGO Rebate from T-Mobile: $720
  • S21 Price will be $599 from 03/09/2021 - 04/04/2021, so Price Match = $120 * 2 = $240 Back immediately from Costco
  • Final Price for Two devices = Approx $600 (including taxes), so one device cost will be Approx. $300
  • Add 2 Line Cost for 2 months based on your plan.
I am not sure if prices are going down for S21plus and S21Ultra.

And you think they are going to honor a price drop, if you already got B1G1?

Yes, Costco honor price match till 30 days. And I have done this type of deal in past and Costco does honor it.

If you want to be sure before buying, go to Costco Service Desk and tell them that you purchased S21 3-4 days back for $719, and you see prices are going down from tomorrow, ask if they honor the price match or not. Based on that take your call.

No mention of needing to activate line in title.

Thumbs down.

It says qualifying service required. Does this need unlimited plan?

Costco offers a couple of plans and I think the minimum plan for 1 line is $55, so two lines $90+taxes. If you are an existing T-Mobile customer, adding additional lines just cost as low as $20.

Yes, you can cancel anytime after 40 days.
  • 31 days to get Virtual Gift Card.
  • 40 Days to unlock the device from T-Mobile.
If you are a new customer to T-Mobile, then do 4 lines
  • 2 Lines for BOGO Offer: You can close lines after 40 days.
  • 2 Lines for BYOD Offer ($300 Costco GC/lines): But you have to wait 90 days to close these two lines.

Since the Virtual Gift Card ($720) is a t-mobile rebate and not from Costco, wouldn't t-mobile be able to charge you $720 for closing the line early after 40 days? I realize that Costco rebates are safe but are t-mobile rebates safe as well? I just don't want to have a surprise $720 charge on my Tmo bill after closing the account. Thanks for your help.

Not sure why people are down voting. This deal is perfect for me since I need a new line for the oldest. So got a phone for the wife and myself, then will lock down my S9 for the oldest to call family. So while it might not work for all, it is a good deal if you need a another line.

Might not get the refund of the difference but figure it's still a good deal. Though Costco is typically great at price matching their own deals.

Also got $100 costco card on top of the $720.

T-Mobile doesn't backcharge (yet !, unlike Verizon...) but there are reports of Costco refusing service in the future if you cancel too early.
