    • The good: The excellent-sounding Sony WH-1000XM3 is more comfortable and 20% lighter than its predecessor. It offers slightly improved noise canceling and performs better as a headset for making calls. Battery life is strong, and it has some nifty extra features geared toward frequent travelers.
    • The bad: Your ears can get a little warm inside the ear cups. I encountered some adaptive noise-canceling hiccups.
    • The bottom line: With its comfortable fit and superb performance, the Sony WH-1000XM3 is the noise-canceling headphone to beat.

Sorry about your headphones but your experience is not the norm. The build quality is excellent. I wear mine roughly 4-8 hours daily and have been for 9 months straight. The only way you would know they were not brand new would be from the minor indentations on the ear pads. Even the battery life like new.

As far as are they worth it; probably. Worth is relative but if someone is looking for NC headphones that look, sound and fit great, these are your best bet. Focus is a verified retailer so on the odd chance that you do get a lemon, you can easily warranty them.
Ordered these from Focus a couple weeks ago at this price. Shipped quickly. The pair I received were NOT the international version. These seem to be the updated version with Google Asst and Alexa. Amazing headphones. Noise cancelling is so good it can be dangerous and the 3D sound option for certain streaming services is like nothing I have ever heard. I literally turned around thinking I heard a voice behind me.

FWIW, these can be paired with a bluetooth adapter if you want to use them with a TV that doesn't support it.
Sony 1000XM series are the best headsets available for general market. Please check the multiple reviews from Google search.

Are these worth the extra money when compared to the anker q30?

To answer your question, no they are not. I own both pairs and I take good care of ALL of my electronics and these Sony XM3's broke on me at the band. My other Sony's broke also. But both of my super old Beats headphones still work great and have no issues. I would NEVER buy Sony headphones again. The Soundcore Q30's noise cancellation arent as good, but then again the build quality are better for a quarter the price of these FYI.

I am not a fan of Sony stuff but Beats is just a pile of garbage in contrast to any of the Sony XM line. As to the durability . . . I have been using my pair of XM3 for about 6 months without any issues . . . so maybe this is a user error . . .

In for a pair. I have the Sony 710 now and noise cancelation is garbage on them. Hopefully these will work better.

It happens more often than you think. Join the FB group for the XM3s and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm using Beats as an example in the fact if they are a pile of garbage, they lasted longer than both of my Sonys. Go join the XM3 FB group, you'll see its NOT user error and it happens more often than you think.

Anyone vouch for these being Eyeglasses friendly? I wear Raybans Wayfair style eyeglasses.
